Scrapbook kept by Col. Thomas De Voe containing manuscript and printed regimental orders, notes, bills, and invitations, 1816-1853, mostly addressed to the 115th Regiment of the New York State Infantry under the command of Col. Israel Purdy. Volume also includes orders, correspondence, minutes from officer's meetings, and other documents concerning the controversial 1825 reorganization of the battalions and regiments of the 1st New State Brigade, the threatened mutiny of the officers of the 3rd regiment, detachment of Capt. Alexander Ming, Jr., from the 3rd Regiment, and the arrest of Major Matthew Lane for neglect of duty. Additionally present are military fife and drum band and musician's contracts and various orders and printed announcements concerning the 8th Regiment of the New York State Miltia.
